The Primum Non Nocere Foundation, INC (the Foundation) has been formed for the purpose of assisting pre-hospital care providers during times of need and despair, especially during times of injury or ill-health.
Pre Hospital Care providers / Emergency Medical Service workers have long been considered by many as the least supported and recognized of the countries civil servants. It doesn't matter if your a volunteer, work for a private company, a private hospital or a city approved agency when there is a medical emergency we are expected to be there without question or hesitation. What happens when the pre hospital care provider themselves become the victim or a patient? Many are left to fend for themselves trying to hold their family together, keep the roof above their heads and food on the table with little support from organizations and charities. The mission of Primum Non Nocere Foundation, Inc. is to try and help those pre hospital care providers get through their crisis and back on their feet.
When a person is out of work their biggest fear is how they will be able to feed themselves and their families. We try to alleviate this fear by supplying the provider and family with food & groceries to last a couple of weeks. Our goal is to "Fill their Fridge" and home pantry shelves with nutritious foods as they work through illness, injury or hardship.
The loss of personal belongings, clothing and memories due to hardship, natural disasters or fire is devastating. We can help by donating gift cards, specific items and even taking them personally shopping for basic clothing & necessities
When an EMS provider is out of work for a long period of time due to an on the job injury or illness their home utility bills could quickly become delinquent. We can assist in paying some utility bills to make sure services are not disconnected allowing the EMS provider and their family some relief
We are proud to sponsor two separate EMS Memorial scholarships: The Jim & Judy Alexander Memorial Scholarship and the Elena Vitale EMT Memorial Scholarship with our goal to present each one annually to a student(s) aspiring to further their education in the EMS field
